Strider Balance Bike Review and Giveaway

Strider Balance Bike Review and Giveaway

My kids love to ride bikes and now that it is warmer out that is all they want to do.  My 4 yr old daughter who is special needs has not yet had a “real bike” to ride. She doesn’t have the coordination to keep her balance.  We had the chance to try out the Strider PREbike. She was very excited to have a bike like her brother and sister. We practiced on the bike for about 2 weeks. She was kinda hesitant at first but after a few times she got the hang of it. The bike was very easy to put together and its very light weight. The bike only weights 6.9 lbs. It is easy for her to pick up and move if she needed to. The bike has no pedals so it is easier to handle for little ones that are just  learning  how to ride a bike. The bike is for ages 1-5 years old.

My daughter wants to ride her bike everyday. She feels like one of the big kids now. I have never even heard of a Strider PREbike before we got the chance to try it.  She can easily use her legs to control her bike the way she wants to. It has helped her learn to have a better balance and has helped her coordination on the bike. I recommend this bike to anyone before they purchase a bike with training wheels.  I am so glad that we had the chance to try the Strider PREbike out.  If you would like more information about the Strider PREbike please visit their website.

Disclamer:  I was given a Strider Balance Bike to test and review free of charge.  However, I was not paid for the review and the opinions are my own.

Yes, I am an Aquafina FlavorSplash Mom

Yes, I am an Aquafina FlavorSplash Mom

I was excited when I was picked to be an Aquafina FlavorSplash Mom. I have been trying not to drink soft drinks and teas for the last few weeks. I have been really trying to drink more water. I have really been only wanting water lately.

Each week I will share with you one of the Aquafina FlavorSplash Flavors. This week I got a chance to try out Wildberry. Yummy! My kids have been drinking them also. I went to the store the other day and ended up buying another pack.  I was also able to try out the Aquafina Lip Balm.

I will be sharing with you a new flavor each week. I can’t wait to try the other ones. Here is a link where you can get $1.00 off a 6-pack of Aquafina FlavorSplash click here.

Make sure you stop by each week and read about more of the flavors that Aquafina has to offer.

I am a participant in a Mom Central campaign for Aquafina FlavorSplash and have received various FlavorSplash samples to facilitate my participation. Mom Central will send me a gift card at the end of the program.

Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Week?

Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Week?

heart

With my daughter being a heart baby. Every year I make sure I do something for the week of Feb 7th-14th. The last two year we wore pins and bracelets. We also have sweatshirts with her name on it. I wanted to spread the word to all my readers a little bit of information about Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Week.

What is CHD Awareness Week?

CHD Awareness Week is an annual awareness effort to help educate the public about Congenital Heart Defects. Participants include individuals, local support groups, national and local organizations and congenital cardiology centers throughout the world!

Why is it important?

Congenital Heart Disease is considered to be the most common birth defect, and is a leading cause of birth-defect related deaths worldwide. Despite the fact that CHD affects approximately 1.8 millions families in the U.S.,  a relatively small amount of funding is currently available for parent/patient educational services, research, and support. By sharing our experiences and providing information, we hope to raise public awareness about conditions that affect approximately 40,000 babies each year in the United States alone. It is our sincere hope that efforts to educate the public will result in improved early diagnosis, additional funding for support and educational services, scientific research, and access to quality of care for our children and adults.
