Still doing good. I don’t mind eating the soup at all. I am still a little tired but not as bad as the first day.

My day 2 was made up of:

Day Two:

All you want – fresh, raw, or cooked vegetables of your choice. Stay away from dry beans, peas, and sweet corn. Reward yourself with a big baked potato with butter for dinner. Eat as much soup as you like but no fruit for today.

So I weighted myself this morning and I am now 145 I started at 148 so I am down 3 lbs!

After following Trisha from Momdot with her Cabbage Soup Diet last week I decided to give it a try. I had blood work taken and Friday I received the results. My cholesterol is high.  That is not good for being only 31 yrs old. I know I need to loose weight I am 20lbs heavier then what I should be. Being 5′2 and 148lbs is not good for me.

I decided to give the Cabbage Soup Diet a try. I made the soup Sunday and tried it out. It wasn’t bad, it tasted like vegitable soup. I have had two bowls yesterday and so far just one today. I did eat a lot of fruit yesterday mainly watermelon. Today is my veggie day.  I will be adding in my exercise this weekend. I am getting my tredmill on Friday night. Can not wait!

The 7 Days Cabbage Soup Diet Plan

Eat as much soup as you desire for seven days and you can lose 10 to 15 pounds. The recipe varies slightly, but includes a variety of low-calorie vegetables such as cabbage, onions, and tomatoes, flavored with bouillon, onion soup mix, and tomato juice. Each day of the seven-day program has specific foods that must be eaten, including potatoes, fruit juice, many vegetables, and on one day, beef.

Day One: 

• Eat only fruit, all the fruit you want except banana.
• Drink unsweetened tea, black coffee, cranberry juice, and water.
• Eat as much soup as you like.

Day Two:

All you want – fresh, raw, or cooked vegetables of your choice. Stay away from dry beans, peas, and sweet corn. Reward yourself with a big baked potato with butter for dinner. Eat as much soup as you like but no fruit for today.

Day Three:

Combine days one and two, eat as much fruit, vegetables, and soup, as you like but no baked potato.

Day Four:

Eat as many as eight bananas and drink as many glasses of skim milk as you would like on this day, along with your soup. This day is supposed to lessen your desire for sweets.

Day Five:

You may have 10-20 ounces of beef (300-500g) and a large tin or up to six fresh tomatoes. Drink at least 6 to 8 glasses of water this day to wash the uric acid from your body. Eat your soup at least once today. You may eat broiled or baked chicken (skinless) instead of beef. If you prefer, you can substitute broiled fish for the beef.

Day Six: 

Eat beef and vegetables today. You can even have two or three steaks if you like, with fresh vegetables or salad. NO BAKED POTATO. Eat your soup at least once.

Day Seven:

Eat all you want of brown rice, unsweetened fruit juices, and vegetables. Be sure to eat your soup at least once to day. No bread, alcohol, or carbonated beverages, not even diet soda.

The only change I see in my body is that im more tired during the day. My weight in on Monday morning was 148lbs

Today (tuesday) i weighted in at 147

-1.0 lost

“Kellogg Co. is voluntarily recalling about 28 million boxes of Apple Jacks, Corn Pops, Froot Loops and Honey Smacks cereals, saying a “waxy” smell and flavor coming from the package liners could make people sick, the company said Friday.”(AP)

There have been 20 people, so far, that have complained of the smell, and 5 of them reported nausea and vomiting. If you have these cereals in your home, and have concerns about them, you can call the Kellogg Consumer Response Center at 888-801-4163.

Only products with the letters “KN” following the Better If Used Before Date are included in the recall. Products with a “KM” designation are NOT included in the recall. In addition, no products in Canada are affected.

Ummm hello First Graders need condoms??? I hope not. My son is going into first grade in the fall and I can not even imagine him needing or even knowing what condoms are right now. It makes me sick to even think about it.

A  school district in Massachusetts that voted unanimously to begin giving out free condoms to students who request them…even if they’re in first grade.  The article that I read explains that students are required to speak to the school nurse or a trained counselor before they can procure their condoms. But still why would a First Grader need them?

I LOVE my Iphone. I would be lost without it. I have had mine for about a year now. The Iphone has everything I need to get through my day. I read the news, play games, read books, blog, search the news, read my email and lots more.  Today is the launch of the new Iphone 4. I can not wait to get my hands on this one. I did do the Iphone Upgrade to the iOS4 yesterday.  LOVE IT!! There is so much more I can do with my Iphone now.

As of today Apple is saying the they will probably sell a record 1 million iPhones today after introducing a new model, attracting crowds to stores in five countries. That is so awesome!

So I was on Facebook last week and one of my friends posted a picture of this:

My stomach instantly dropped. I just purchased three boxes of the Capri Sun’s at BJ’s that day. My kids drink these every day for breakfast and takes them to school.  It made me sick to my stomach. Melissa the mom that found this in her child’s Capri Sun made sure she contacted the FDA. I was scrolling though all her photos on Facebook and I had to stop because it was making me sick. At first it looked like a wrinkled up apple then it looked like a mushroom.

The testing came back and this is what Kraft said on their Facebook page:

We recently received word from a consumer about an issue with a Capri Sun pouch. We understand that some of you are concerned. Now that we’ve tested the material, we’ve confirmed it was mold. While unpleasant, it is not a safety issue. If this had been a safety issue, Kraft Foods certainly would have taken the necessary steps, including issuing a recall.

As a general food safety tip, please remember that because Capri Sun beverages don’t have preservatives, a leaky pouch can cause the beverage to spoil and discarding it is the right action to take.

My kids are still drinking the Capri Sun’s. My fiance works in the food industy and he said that it looks like some kind of mushroom or rotten apple.

I have luckily never found anything is any of my food products. I want to keep it that way.

So they have these new bracelets that all the kids are wearing now. Its the new fad.

I was reading on Fox News last week that there are many concerns with these bracelets. One of them being that the child is wearing way to many at a time and cutting off circulation to their arm and hand. It’s supposed to be a “game” to see how many you can collect and wear at one time. The second being that they are apparently using the different colors to represent actions that are inappropriate for the students to be discussing. Some of the students are even ”flicking” the bracelets on each other’s arms.

As of today they are banned from my daughters school. They have been banning these Silly Bandz and Zany Bandz in a lot of schools now. I will not buy these for my kids and they are not allowed to wear them.

I do have one of my daycare girls that wears them in to daycare and she just has a couple on her arms but she gets them all tied up and they do get tight.
